here is the short code we are using: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE order_by=”start_date” sort=”ASC” category_filter=”false” table_style=”metro” footable=”true” table_paging=”false” table_search=”false” category_slug=”Forestallningar” show_expired=”false”] it is not sorting correctly by start date as you can see here: http://www.gbgimpro.se/kalender/?event_category_id=forestallningar |
Hi Victoria, Do each of those events have a single datetime or multiple datetimes? Are you using the latest version of the table view add-on? (Currently 1.3.3) |
they have multiple datetimes, but they are simply repeats of the same event. ie. a theater play |
sorry. yes we are using the latest versions of everything. |
Can you check to see if you’re loading up a customized version of the table template? Usually if there is a custom template, it will be in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. |
This folder is empty on our install. |
Thanks for checking. Do you know if the templates have been customized at all? Either directly or even copied over to your active WordPress theme? The reason I ask is because there was an update made to the Events table plugin that fixes the issue you report here. |

my chief developer says no customizations, and as soon as we noticed this issue we updated all addons. This was on Monday. Really quite frustrating. |
Hi Victoria, I’m so sorry for the frustration. I’m sure we can get this all worked out, please bear with us, we’re trying to help. Thank you for checking on the customizations. This information really helps. Can you check on something else? It’s specific to the one event that’s out of order in your list. Do you know or remember if the Backstory 16 oktober and Backstory 22 november dates were added some time later to the event? In other words did the event originally only have the Backstory 13 november date? |
All the dates were added at the same time. |
We have not seen this behavior before. |
I understand. It may help if you can check with your developer and ask them to look at the one datetime and verify that it has a lower ID than the other two datetimes. They may be able to look in the database and find out why the one datetime ID has a much lower value. |
