Hi,

I’m all of a sudden having an issue that when I create an event the website isn’t showing the content from the WYSIWYG. This just started happening from what I can tell because the older posts are still showing content.

Here’s a new event: https://www.jansenartcenter.org/events/serenata-brasileira-july-10/

Here’s an older one entered: https://www.jansenartcenter.org/events/lets-have-a-garden-party-starting-july-10/

I tried switching to another theme and the same thing is happening.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Have you recently installed any new plugins?

Within your new event if you add some text within the Excerpt (it doesn’t matter what content you add, just something), does the content then displa?

Hey Tony,

We didn’t add any new plugins and even disabled some. I’m using Avada and making a few adjustments but I tried the 2017 theme and got the same thing.

When I inspect the code I can see the content isn’t even being generated. I did try putting some content in the excerpt and it’s not being displayed either.

Hi there,

I can see the content if I do a GET request with the JSON API:

Can you try temporarily deactivating some of the other plugins on the page to see if that helps? There may be some caching involved or even a filter on WP Post content that’s triggered based on some specific conditions where some events are affected and others are not.

Generally, when this happens it is because something is hooking into the_content and either removing filters or firing filters multiple times (making EE thinking it’s already fired and preventing it from adding the details to the content), it’s usually the theme but can also be a plugin.

With it only happening on new events I suspect its and option for ‘something’ installed on your site that is enabled on the new posts but not older ones.

Could you try running through thr troublshooting steps posted here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#themeconflicts

To confirm if its a plugin issue?

So it does look like there was a plugin conflict with Toolset Views. For some reason the post types were getting picked up or something and overriding the display code. Thank you for your assistance.
