None of our events are displaying correctly, when you click on any event the page says critical error. Users cannot view the event information or register. See examples below:

To confirm we are using version 5.0.7.p and have without issue for a long time. This morning we encountered an issue with all the shortcodes with the exception of the landing page shortcode ex: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS title=”Current Workshops” category_slug=workshops-for-artists]
On our landing page we have been using the following shortcode, it is still functional: [ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE limit=6 order_by=start_date sort=ASC category_slug=classes-workshops button_text=”Read More”]
Events are fully functional on the back end but on the front end, they display nothing besides the title and have the same error message the shortcode had earlier. “There has been a critical error on this website.” We tested the other plugins and found it was event espresso.

Hi there,
The critical error will have saved a PHP fatal error in the server error logs, we’ll need that full error to be able to troubleshoot this (your host will usually have a section you can view PHP errors in your control panel).
Or if you enable WP_DEBUG in the sites wp-config.php file using this snippet:

Let me know once it’s been added and I’ll test again as the error will be logged in a public location so I can view it.
