I just installed Event Espresso and I think that the WordPress theme used for my site is conflicting. I have set up a test class and it does not look anything like what is shown in your demo examples. What do I need to do in order to fix this without compromising the rest of my site. The link to my test class is https://swakknit.com/events/beginner-bunch/ Additionally, is there a way to link products needed for classes from WooCommerce into the event information? |

Hi, I hope I find you well. Thank you for your email. I just need to clarify things before we start. When you said
Can you please elaborate on this? May I know what you want your events to look like? What information or functionalities do you want to see in there? Giving us more details and screenshots (please follow these steps on how to take screenshots) will help us better understand how we will help you.
Yes, you can insert lists of products needed for the event in the description and link them out to the product page of any website. Please see this video to better guide you in creating your event. Thanks! |

The sample in your live demo is clear, well organized and user friendly –> https://demoee.org/use-cases/event-category/classes-and-workshops/ My test event is confusing, has extraneous information at the end, and is visually not appealing.–> https://swakknit.com/events/beginner-bunch/ I suspect it is a conflict with my WordPress theme. Is there a way to resolve this? |

I have already watched the video in the link and it did not address my issues, nor explain how to insert products from WooCommerce. |
Hi there, This isn’t really a ‘conflict’ but it is from your theme. Event Espresso events are a custom post type (actually a hybrid but for the above, they are simply a custom post type) within your site, which means they will display within your theme in the same way it displays standard posts. This was a design choice we made very early on within EE4 so that your events remained consistent with the rest of your site. We hook into the_content() and add in the extra event details for the post but your theme controls pretty much all of the other output. We have some options to change the order EE injects the details and what to actually inject into the page but some of the other output will either rely on setting within your theme or a custom template for your theme to change them. I can help with those further but will need more specific on what you would like to change to do so.
We don’t have a WooCommerce integration so to include woo products you would basically need to link to them within the event content, the checkout process for Woo Prodcuts and EE Events would be separate so they’d checkout their products from Woo then checkout the EE event(s). |
