Hi, after recent upgrades to our site, we are experiencing a strange problem where the event content of the first event in the Events Listing pages shows at the top of the page.

I have been trying to troubleshoot this if it is a theme or plugin error but can’t seem to track it down. Can you offer any suggestions on how to find where the trouble is coming from?

Hi,
It looks like the site has a child theme activated so a good first step will be to rule out an issue with the child theme. You can visit the /events/ page as an admin, click “Customize”, then preview another theme (but do not Publish). If the issue is resolved after switching to a default theme (like twenty twenty), then try previewing the parent theme.
Plugins can be ruled out in a similar way with the Health Check plugin.

yes, it is the main theme that causes it, not the child. It does not happen with the WordPress 2019 theme
This is where I should contact the theme creators I guess.

This may be an issue with the theme’s archive.php file or one of its template parts. It might also be an issue from a function applied to the WordPress the_content() filter.
If they’re not able to help we can investigate further if you can share a link to where we can download a copy of the theme.
