Using WP 3.8.1
Using EE 3.1.36.2.P with Event Espresso – ticketing plugin 2.1.p
This is a new installation.
Here is the link to the registration page http://www.alderneyperformingartsfestival.com.php53-5.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/200

Hi All,

Need some help please.

We have successfully created a sample event and it’s showing in the event overview within EE. When we order a ticket from our WP website an email arrives, and we can download the sample ticket with the sample QR code which is great.

We successfully downloaded the EE app for the iphone and it’s working.

Now the for the problem…

Once the iphone app is launched and we login or hit the scan tickets button no events are showing. We see on the forums that its important that the dates are shown correctly e.g. Year/Month/Day and our event is showing the right order.

We are now stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Caroline,

Do you have the JSON API Add-on installed?

This is used by the iOS app to communicate with Event Espresso.

Hi Tony,

We downloaded the EE API plugin AJSON/XML API version 2.1.P and installed /activated it but the same thing was happening ie. no events showed up on the iphone.

Checking the url here:

http://www.alderneyperformingartsfestival.com.php53-5.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/espresso-api/v1/events/public.pretty_json

Shows the API has not been setup for Public access. Can you go to Event Espresso -> API Settings. Set ‘Allow Public API Access’ to Yes and update the settings.

That should then allow the app access.

Hi Tony,

Have gone to EE API settings > Allow Public API Access > Allow > Save, but still no events showing on the iphone.

Logged out / logged in / off + in EE / WP and cleared history cache on both the WP and iphone.

No joy. Any other ideas?

Hmmm.

Just to confirm, is this site part of a multisite network or single install?

Which URL are you currently using for the endpoint in the app?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for all the help so far.

The site is a single install (just being used on this one WP site)

The URL we are using as our endpoint is http://www.alderneyperformingartsfestival.com/web/content

No Problem 🙂

I don’t have an iPhone unfortunately (android guy) so there’s only so much I can help.

However, the domain you are currently using for your endpoint has expired and effectively points ‘no-where’ which is likely why it currently is not working http://d.pr/i/8fde

Have you recently re-newed the above domain?

If you try using the domain you provided earlier:

http://www.alderneyperformingartsfestival.com.php53-5.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/

does it then work?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the email.

Get the same result if we use http://www.alderneyperformingartsfestival.com.php53-5.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/ no events show.

Just this final piece of the puzzle to sort and we are good to go.

So close.

Hi Caroline,

Just checking if you made any further progress with this?

Btw, are you moving from the current domain?
