Is it possible to limit the length of a custom excerpt on the events list page? We have multiple users entering events and not following our guidelines so I have to force a limit on the custom excerpt display. I’ve tried the event_listing_excerpt.php snippet a few plugins but have had no luck. Here is our dev site link: http://184.154.230.20/~mattcott/btdchicago.com/shows/

Normally you’d use this snippet:

From looking at the site though, that archive appears to have its excerpt generated by the Avada theme. So there could be a setting within Avada’s theme options to change the excerpt length or a filter hook in the Avada theme that could be used to change this.
