I just installed EE4 today. Prior to install, our WordPress timezone was set to Toronto. When I added our first event, I set the time of the event to 6:15pm. However, when I look at the list of upcoming events and also the event details page, both display this event as 2:15pm, 4 hours before the actual event time. I checked our settings and WordPress is still set to Toronto time. The EE4 event is still set to 6:15pm, just displays it incorrectly.

Please advise some possible solutions. Thanks!

Ok, so just deactivated some plugins and found that our Series Engine plugin was causing this issue. Series Engine plugin had a setting:

Time.ly Plugin Compatibility?:
Fixes timezone issues for those using the Time.ly plugin. Don’t enable otherwise.

Once I toggled this setting between Yes and No, it corrected the issue. Seems to be working great now! Sorry for the forum post. Hopefully this can help other users though.

Hi there Michael, we appreciate you sharing how you corrected this specific issue. We have also seen this caused by another plugin that incorrectly using:

date_default_timezone_set
