I just purchased, installed, and activated the Events Date Range Template for EE3.
My shortcode is on the page as this:
[EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name=date-range show_recurrence=true event_category_id=1]
but when you go to the page- it doesn’t show any events, it just has the shortcode text, so something isn’t set up right.
You can go to your EE.com account page, then look in the table for Event Espresso 3 downloads for the Custom Template Add-on v1.1.p plugin. Then you download and install it. This is the plugin that works with the Date Range Template.
I added that and now I do see the starting and ending search boxes, however, when I enter dates in, and press the “Filter Events” button, nothing happens.
Is there a way to just show all the events in EE3 by category without the user having to search? That’s really what I want to do.
It’s likely that this part of the short code needs to be changed:
event_category_id=1
You can get the correct event_category_id by looking at the Shortcode column in the table on the Event Espresso > Categories page.
