Hi there,
We’re currently building a new website to take over a previous one, both using EE to book events. I am just wondering if there is a way/tool to transfer events data between the two and avoid having to manually input events. We are looking to, as seamlessly as possible, go from one site to the other while maintaining active events through EE.
I have briefly checked through the plugin documentation and found a section on transferring delegate information, but couldn’t see anything about event information.
Could someone please point me in the right direction for solving this query? Thank you in advanced!

Hi there,
Currently it isn’t possible to export just the EE data from one site to another as we use a combination of custom post types (stored within wp_posts) and custom data/tables, using the ID’s from wp_posts as foreign keys.
To export from site A to site B would need a migration script specifically for doing so, creating new posts and updating all of the foreign keys to match within the migration. We don’t have anything to do that currently.
If you have a break in your events we’ve seen users hold out for the break, switch over to the new site and start taking all new registrations for the upcoming events on the new site and then essentially archive the ‘old’ site on a subdomain so they still have access to that data if needed.
I’m not sure if that will work for your set-up as it depends on how your site is set up, for example, if using member plugins and linking EE registrations to users that may not be viable.
