Hi, |
Hi Zeljko, Is it already November 6 where you’re located? Can you try setting the Sale Starts date to November 5 your local time? |
Hi Josh, It was nearly 1 am local time when I started this topic. I tried changing sale start to current date ( November 6) and November 5 as you told and it didn’t help. Also tried creating new ticket with both dates, including “Now” option without any success. Event is still in Sold Out state. |
I’m having the same problem as well!!! |
If possible, please completely fill out the form on this page so we can investigate: |

Hi Josh, I’ve just sent login details. Regards |
Hi Zeljko, Since there really isn’t enough access (not full admin access and you didn’t send FTP access) there isn’t much we can do to troubleshoot this. As far as we can tell, there may be a PHP bug affecting your specific server environment. For now, I can advise downloading the prior version from via this link: https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/archive/4.8.13.p-sans-tests-tag.zip Then you deactivate and delete the current version of EE4, and upload and activate the 4.8.13.p version. |
Hi Josh, I’ll send you superadmin account and ftp access in few moments. EE 4 is downgraded to 4.8.13 and events now have active status. New issue now is that I can’t use translation file anymore. Translations are set as described in: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-translate-event-espresso/ What can I do next? |
Did you make a backup of your translation files before you updated? |
You probably didn’t have a custom translation, so that’s okay if you didn’t. I went in and triggered it to sideload in the translation from github, so you’ve got a working translation now. |
Thanks Josh for help with translations. There are still some parts on English language even they are translated in uploaded .po file. Can you explain how to set working translations for untranslated parts on image? I’ve found in .po file those strings and they are translated but EE doesn’t use them… |
Hi Zeljko, PO files are used by GlotPress, POedit and other translation tools. Your website will need an .mo file. Could you try getting the latest from GlotPress? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-translate-event-espresso/#setup-your-language-files If that does not help, then please share the translations here and we’ll add them to GlotPress and then share a link to an updated mo file. Thanks — |
Hi Lorenzo, You can get translations here: |
Hi, sorry for the confusion. Could you share the translations for the lines that are not translating? For example: original text –> translated text I’ll just need a couple of those so I can check GlotPress. — |
Hi, sure, here are couple of them: 2. Personal Information -> Persönliche Informationen 3. %1$sCongratulations%2$sYour registration has been successfully processed.%3$sCheck your email for your registration confirmation or click the button below to view / download / print a full description of your purchases and registration information. 4. Click here to edit All Attendee Information -> Klicken Sie hier, um die Teilnehmerinformationen zu bearbeiten Would that be enough? |
Thanks. Those appear to be translated already in GlotPress. Could you download the latest mo file here: Then change the name to this: event_espresso-de_DE.mo Afterwards, upload it here: /wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages Then go to WP-admin –> Settings –> General and save changes and it should activate. The Personal Information heading can be translated through the Question Groups editor in this location: Event Espresso –> Registration Forms –> Question Groups –> Personal Information — |

Hi Lorenzo, Unfortunately, uploading the .mo file didn’t help with translations. It still shows same parts on English. Any advice what to try or do next? |
Hi, we are looking into this but I’m having some trouble duplicating the issue: http://cl.ly/image/3k30161Y1S1x http://cl.ly/image/420B3O2m1m3u I’ve tried getting the MO file directly and adjusting the name and uploading it. I’ve also tried getting the PO file and then compiling an MO file using POedit and then uploading it. What happens if you switch the site to another language (any other language) and then switch back to German (Deutsch)? — |

Hi Lorenzo, |
Hi Zeljko, I’m eager to get these translations working for you so could you share some additional feedback: Are the four translation strings mentioned in the link below working? https://eventespresso.com/topic/events-changed-status-to-sold-out-after-update/#post-179818 Name and Description is not currently translated: http://cl.ly/image/0t0s3i2f2Y3J Could you share the translation and I’ll add to GlotPress? On your question on “Thank You” — that is the name of the page so that would need to be changed through the page editor. For clarity, my earlier testing was done on a newer installation of WordPress as I was trying to determine why the congratulation string and the others were not translating for you. — |
Hi Lorenzo, Regarding the four strings translations, they are still showing only in English. No matter which language is selected. Thank you for explaining the “Thank You” part. Which WordPress version were you using for testing? |
Hi, Please try this file: http://cl.ly/code/1n2Q3y3j3L25/download/event_espresso-de_DE.mo Also, the formatting of the file does matter. For example, it should be this (note the underscore in event_espresso): event_espresso-de_DE.mo …instead of this: event-espresso-de_DE.mo — |

Hi, |
Hi, Could you follow up with us here: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ We’ll need a temporary SFTP / FTP login and a temporary WP dashboard login. Also, I missed your earlier question so I’ll answer that. We always test with the latest version of WordPress and Event Espresso 4. Thanks — |
Hi, |
Hi, I’ll follow up via the email that you sent. Thanks — |
Finally working! |
