Hello,

I moved ISP’s this weekend and backed up the WordPress/Event Espresso site with Duplicator.

Everything seems to be working correctly with the exception of several events and attendees missing on the Event Overview Screen.

It is showing 102 total events (there are 200 and all show if I export to excel). and 74 total attendees showing and there should be 269 (again all attendees are there if I export to excel).

It appears to be just an issue displaying these.

It was displaying everythign properly prior to the move so obviously something got out of sync but I am at a loss since duplicator takes a total backup of the site.

Wordpress is v3.5.1, Event Espresso version is 3.1.32.P.  There are no caching plugins installed.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Scott

Hi Scott,

It will probably be the filtering. If you look above the attendee or event overview lists there are a variety of filtering options. By changing these you can see what is shown. For example nowadays, closed events are not shown by default.

Hi Dean,

You are correct thank you!  The filter was set to “active”.  But up until a couple of days a go everything showed.  Did this get turned on by default  in a recent update?

Hi Scott,

The default view was changed to active in a recent update. We were receiving a lot of negative feedback when folks were having to filter out closed events each time they went in to view events.

Thanks Josh,

That makes sense.  One thing I am still confused on is attendees total 248 with “active/inactive” selected.  But If I export it to excel there are 287 rows.  There are some duplicates including a test record that looks to be duplicate 16 times.  Is the filter showing the record only one time if it is duplicated in the database?  Just trying to narrow down the difference.

Thanks!

Scott

It should be summing up the “# Attendees” field for all attendees. Are there any rows in the xls file with 0 for # Attendees?

No, if I sum the xls its 286.   Events Overview only shows 248 attendees.  The number of events is correct however, so its just attendees that is inaccurate.

More Weirdness.   It still shows Attendees (248).   But if I say show 100 entries and scroll down it says showing 1 – 100 of 198 entries so where are the other 50 that it says are there (not even counting that the xls has 286)?

Hi Scott,

The dev team was working on the filtering in the last few versions in order to make it perform decently on sites where they are running a lot of events with a lot of attendees. There are a few glitches to work out, and one of them is when you have an “Ongoing” event. The attendee numbers will not include any attendees from an ongoing event *if* the end date is set in the past. I’ve created a ticket for this. In this case, you may be find that the attendee discrepancy is from an event or two that is not getting loaded from the filter query.
