We’ve been having a frustrating time with EE 5. My issue is exactly the same as this topic, which does not appear to be resolved, just shrugged off as “pretty difficult”. Our Events Administrators should not have access to edit posts, pages, comments, but they cannot edit the events pages without those permissions.
Considering this is part of the basic functionality of registering post types AND it used to work with EE 4, I don’t understand the “pretty difficult” explanation. This is a security issue, and we will be forced to abandon the plugin if it doesn’t get fixed.
Can we please get an estimate of when this will be fixed?

We have a fix for this included in the next version of EE5 which we have scheduled for release early next week.
