Hello! I’ve create a custom field in my event called [EVENT_META_*URL] with a URL in the value without the protocol. I have then created a custom email template and added a hyperlink using that custom field as the URL. However, when I receive the email, the text is blue, but is not an active hyperlink – just blue text. I wonder if I’ve missed something? thank you!
I don’t see a way to attach screenshots…maybe after I submit the post.

Oh darn, that was the wrong screenshot. The tag is actually correct for the CLICK HERE TO JOIN hyperlink. 100% sure. sorry

Hi there,
The [EVENT_META_*] shortcode takes the custom file name as a parameter so its looks more like this [EVENT_META_*{custom-field-name}].
Your custom field name is EVENT_META_*URL, which means your shortcode would look something like this:
[EVENT_META_*EVENT_META_*URL]
However, that also may not work as the EVENT_META_* string may be stripped by the code searching for the shortcodes.
Change your Event meta custom field name to just be something like webcast-url
Then your shortcode would be:
[EVENT_META_*webcast-url]
That should work fine.

Oh, I just realised that I was erroneously adding EVENT_META_* in the custom field, as you’ve clearly pointed out above. [fp] thanks 🙂
