Hello. I have only recently purchased the theme and I am currently testing it.
The issue I am having is that when I try to create an event – if I do not also create a post with the event it does not “save” properly.

Immediately afterwards, on redirect is it showing in “event overview” but if you navigate away, then return it disappears.

The link itself works, but the event is not viewable in the “event overview”.

Is this normal?

Hi Matt,

Creating a post when publishing an event is not required.

Could you temporarily deactivate all plugins and reactivate Event Espresso 3 and re-test this?

If it starts to work as expected, then reactivate a few plugins at a time and re-test.

Then continue these steps until your site has been restored.

I am checked the system status and I have this error:

/var/lib/php/session does not exist – contact your host to resolve the problem.

Could this be why?

Hi Matt,

Sessions should not cause this, however I would advise you to contact your host to have the sessions fixed.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Event Overview.

Check the ‘Live Search Filter’ and make sure there is no whitespace within that field.

Then setup the filters as you see in this screenshot and click ‘Retrieve’ – http://take.ms/rBkZp

Do you now see your events?

Thanks, that worked.

One more issue, I can’t get pictures to work. Either the “company logo” or events with “featured image” I am trying to select images from within the media library – but they are not displaying.

Thanks, that worked.

Was it the live search field or the filters?

By default your events should be shown without needing to modify the filters.

Can you go to yoursite.com/wp-admin/options.php

Find ‘image_default_link_type’ and check that the value for that options is set to ‘file’, like so – http://take.ms/MxztE

It was the filters I think – although not sure why. Maybe because they were not “open”?

For options.php
There is nothing in there. Shall I add ‘file’?

Yes, set that field to file and hit save changes at the bottom.

Then re-test, do the images then work correctly?
