Hi. I have an event on Event Espresso which is selling stalls at a charity event. The event is set to pre-approval.
We have an early bird offer which expires tonight at midnight and I will be adding new tickets with the standard ticket prices.
We are still reviewing the stalls and want people who registered on the early bird to pay the early bird price and those who registered after to pay the standard price.
If I expire the early bird prices, then someone we approve after the deadline won’t be able to pay for the stall.
How can I achieve the above? If I update the description and ticket price of the early bird tickets in event expresso, would that work?
It looks like if I update the price, it archives the old ticket (Sets it to black) and creates a new ticket with the new price whilst allowing me to maintain the early bird ticket for processing.
Nevertheless, it would be good to get clarification that this is the best way to achieve what I want
Although now I have an issue that the sell until event is set to today midnight so in theory, the people who are pending payment on the early bird ticket, won’t be able to pay tomorrow as the ticket will have passed the date!
For your Early bird ticket, the ticket price modifications are blocked for Tickets that have already been sold to registrants, because doing so would negatively affect internal accounting for the event.
