Hi there, |

Hi David, You will not find a roles plugin that will work with all of the different sections of Event Espresso in the way you are expecting out the box. In a nutshell what you need to do is create a custom role that has specific Event Espresso capabilities to allow the user with the role to create/edit their own events but not do the same to others events. EE has tons of custom capabilities spread throughout it to allow you as much control as needed, you can view some information on that here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/event-espresso-4-roles-permissions/ However I have previously built a plugin that creates 2 roles that may help you here, one role is ‘Event Organizer’ which can create and edit their own events, registration, transactions etc. The other role is ‘Events Manager’ this user has the same access as the Administrator does for Event Espresso but it does not have access to any other section of WordPress. You can install this on a test and set the role to a user and see if it does what you are looking for if you would like: Once activated it adds the roles to your WordPress database so you can de-activate and delete it if you prefer. Note this is not an official EE plugin and has not been heavily tested so you will need to confirm it provides access to the sections you need and prevents access to areas you don’t. |

Thanks Tony, it looks like your plugin does the trick. I appreciate your help. |

You’re most welcome, David. I’m glad that plugin works for you, let me know if you have any problems with the capabilities assigned to each role as I’d like for the plugin to work as most people need it to. |
