Every time I create an event I have to set the start time 4 hours ahead and the end time 5 hours ahead so it shows correctly on my site. This is a big issue because the distorted times come up when clients get the registration confirmation.
I’m not using UTC on my website. It’s been set to my local time.
Could you please tell me what could cause a 4 hour difference for start time and 5 hour difference for end time?
None of those immediately stand out as a plugin that would adjust the time on the site.
You mentioned that you are using a local time via a city/region near you. Was that changed before or after you created your events?
If if was changed after, then you’ll need to update the events to the correct time.
Next, does this issue occur when you are using another WordPress theme and other Event Espresso is running?
For example, if you open a specific event page in one browser tab and in the other switch themes through the Appearance –> Themes and then refresh in the event page browser tab, then does the time change so it is accurate again?
If is does, then your theme may have some coding that is changing the time.
