Hello. Instead, I created 1 event with 10 ticket selectors (one for each small event). Have 3 questions: 1. because I have 10 tickets, I need to group certain types of tickets together and separate them for others via a text msg (preferable) , blank line, separator. For instance, 3 out of the 10 tickets are packages and hence need a separator. for some tickets I might need need to insert a comment. Is that possible? I know that you can turn on the ticket details option, but I do not want to display everything…Only the description part (and if possible, for specific tickets). 2. For one of the tickets on the list of tickets, I need to convey a message in the status field (or somewhere visible for that ticket) such as “Private Party – contact (123)123-1234 etc … Is that possible? 3. Without creating a new event, Is it possible to create 2 event pages for the same event ID displaying specific tickets (with View Cart …)? i.e. include/exclude certain tickets from being displayed on the list. Also, please let me know if there are any plugins/add-on that addresses any of the above. thank you. |
Hi there,
Currently, we don’t have an option to ‘Group’ tickets within the ticket selector. It could be done, but would require customizations from a developer and would likely be specific to your use case. If you are not currently working with a developer we recommend contacting the folks at Codeable who may be able to build this for you.
My apologies but I’m not sure I follow, where do you want to add the above?
Not at this time no, you could use CSS to hide the tickets on specific pages though. If you link me to one of the pages you have I can give you an example of how to do that if it will work for you? |

http://www.SyriacOrthodoxConvention.com This is a LIVE site. As far as the ticket grouping, I do understand you currently do not have a way to do it. But, can I insert a visible comment line for ticket? I know that you can show ticket details: |
You can, but just to note that’s a lot of information to include in that field. We have a filter available for that test, here is an example: https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/3f756f5664ba4a38d48100345dd1ef40 You can add that to a custom functions plugin on your site, we have some documentation on creating one here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/ You would change line 9 to return whatever text you prefer.
Can you, yes, but it would be custom and it isn’t something we can walk you through under support. You’ll need some custom code to add in additional details and its not ‘easy’ or ‘simple’ to do when the ticket selector is involved as there’s a lot of logic happening in that feature.
You’ll likely find that altering the behaviour of the show details section to work better for your use case is much easier than altering the ticket selector itself. A. You can remove/hide details from that section. |
