Event Status changed to INACTIVE ?

We had an event open for registration for months, whose status changed at some point over to Inactive.

Today for reference: 2021-12-06

Sale Starts: 2021-06-08 07:55 pm
Sell Until: 2021-12-10 11:55 pm

Event Start: 2021-12-11 08:00 am
Event End: 2021-12-11 05:00 pm

Only 7 out of 12 ticket sold to date.

Is there a reason for this to suddenly change its status to Inactive without notice?

I was able to click UPDATE on the event and the active status toggled back to Upcoming, but no explanation on how or why.

No event dates or sale dates changed.

Hi there,

I can’t think of any reason for that to happen and unfortunately, without being able to reproduce I don’t think I’ll be able to answer the how or why here.

Did you update the event at all recently? Not specifically to the dates or event qty but anything within the event?

(The dates are sent every time the event is updated so you don’t need to update a specific section for it to work on dates, although obviously if the event is active/upcoming is should remain so when the event is updated)

I believe the last change that was made was a week prior. I moved an attendee OUT of the course in question to a different event date.

Event Espresso: Version 4.10.19.p
Attendee Mover: Version 1.0.5.p

Had another instance today where I had to move an attendee, kept close eyes on both events before/after the move and did NOT see the same behavior.

Hmm, so yeah then I’m really not sure why it would change here.

That is good, but is also part of the issue with figuring out what happened. Without being able to reproduce there’s really no way for me to be able to narrow this down.

We’ve released version 4.10.22.p with a few more fixes, none of which stand out to me as being a fix for this specific issue but I still highly recommend you update to the the latest version.

Thx, will upgrade to latest version.

Would it be possible to add some text color the event status in the main EE Event table view? Something to help outliers stand out? Upcoming, Inactive, Expired … etc are all in a muted grey. Perhaps same color scheme that exist in the Event Detail “Active Status”? Just a thought, thx.

They should already have their own colours.

Oh, my apologies, those statuses don’t change colour in that section.

However, the ‘status’ bar does exactly that.

You should see a legend at the bottom of the table which shows the different events statuses and their colours. For example without looking at the status under the names I can tell your first 2 events are upcoming (blue) and the bottom one is expired (grey).

Inactive = black

Sold out = orange.

Is that not what you are looking for?

Status bar never quite caught my attention on the left side, but it make sense now, thanks for pointing that out.
