Hi, I’m trying to get my events set up using your plugin and I’m struggling. Latest Version of WP installed and I believe Event Espresso 4 Core Regular v4.10.0.p
1. I followed the tutorials and my event still not show an easy to read call to action to book the event. It only shows “view details”, “(more…)” and a small icon that once you click on it you realized it can allow you to add the event to your calendar. It’s not intuitive for the user! Overall, it’s very confusing to know where you need to click in order to see a specific event. I’ve only created one event so far trying to figure all the details out before sharing or adding more.
2. Also, is it possible to have a user-friendly, basic easy to read layout of the events without buying all the possible add-ons?
3. If I click on (more…) it opens a new tab and redirects me to the page of the event. I can then see the venue, the time, the google map that never loads… the tags. It also shows “Recent Comments, Archives, Categories, Meta and other random categories that usually shows when you don’t set the screen to 100% width. My question is do you know if it’s related to the plugin since my page has been set up to show 100% width.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Normally there should be a way to start the registration, in other words, a ticket selector. May I ask can you check the event’s “Registration Options”, is the option to “Display Ticket Selector” set to No?

The Google maps require an API key. If you do not have an API key from Google, you can deactivate the Google map option set in your Venue’s settings.

Page set to show 100% width would actually be an issue with the theme. May I ask, do you know if your theme has a page.php page template?
