Hi,

I am trying to create an exam registration (event)in which where students can:

1. Register for the exam
2. Selection a Speaking Evaluation Time (I need to offer multiple times over a period of two days)
3. Process Payment

how can I add the Speaking Evaluation Time option?

Regards,

Darren

Hi Darren,

Approximately, how many speaking periods will you need over the two days?

Hi Lorenzo,

Approximently 240 speaking periods over two days. The speaking exams last 20 min each and usually run from 12:00 pm to 6:00pm.

Thank you in advance.

Darren

Hi Darren,

It sounds like you actually need a bookings or appointment feature.

You could use a custom question so a registrant could enter a time but this would not prevent signing up for the same time spots.

Hi Lorenzo,

Is there an addon that Event Expresso offers to assistment this?

Event Espresso is pretty powerful, I have not found any software that does as much, as well.

I think there’s a way to achieve what you’re trying to achieve.

I created this event based on your requirements: http://thisisntjournalism.ca/events/exam-registration-3/

I achieved this by creating a date-time for the whole 12pm to 6pm period for one day. I then created 18 tickets, one for each available exam slot.

Each ticket was set up like this:

Ticket name – 12:00pm – 12:20pm
Sale starts – whatever
Sell until – whatever
Price – whatever
Quantity – 1 (this means only one person can buy this ticket)

After I created the first one, I just duplicated it with the duplicate feature and changed the ticket name to reflect the next time slot.

You’ll notice once someone has completed their registration, the time slots are marked as Sold Out.

Hi Darren,

I read your earlier post as that you needed a way to have an attendee select a time period that could occur one of 240 times over a two day period:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/event-registrations-with-multiple-step-and-multiple-times/#post-129722

The approach that you have setup now will work as there aren’t a large number of tickets. However, if you add a lot more tickets then it won’t work as expected.

Was 240 a typo?

No 240 was nota typo

At around 20+ ticket options per event, registration checkout will slow down as all of that information will need to be retrieved from the database.
