WordPress Version: 3.6
Event Espresso Version: 3.1.34.P
It is a new install that I just updated to the current version.
http://events.freecog.org

We currently have 100 registration ids and anytime we get a new registration, the last group of attendees disappears from our list. Is there a limit that I need to change somewhere?

Hi Josh,

It turns out there is a limit that needs to be changed. When you are looking at the attendee overview there’s a button that says Retrieve, and to the immediate right there’s a number select box. For this event you’ll want to select 250 or 500, then hit the retrieve button to view all of the attendees.

I have changed that setting. If it is set for 100, it shows the newest 100. What is happening is that when a registration is completed, the last one that was completed is removed from the list. The event is only accepting 100 registration transactions. Every time a new registration is completed, it kicks out the 100th transaction.

We have over 130 attendees. If I register a group of 5, the number of attendees shows the increase of 5. If I then register a group of 15, it removes the group of 5 that was listed, and adds the group of 15, incrementing the total number of attendees accordingly.

It sounds like the session may not be clearing at the end of the registration process.

I just ran two test registrations on your site. Do they show up in the attendee overview?

Also, can you let us know what the attendee limit for this event is? And are there any caching plugins installed?

I just took out 2 registrations to make room, so the 2 test ones did come through. We are now back at 100 “Groups.” Can you try sending 2 more?

The attendee limit is 400. There are no caching plugins installed. The only plugins that are active on the site are the Event Espresso plugins.

Hi Josh,

I’ll do that right now. Are the registrations that disappear one’s that have paid?

I registered two more times.

What you might need to do for the time being if it’s a case where it’s the registrations that have not paid yet are disappearing have not paid yet is set the default payment status to pending so that they count toward the limit.

The ones that have disappeared so far are ones that haven’t paid.

I just got your test3 and test4 registrations, but the test2 registration is gone. The test registration is still there. I exported the list and it is showing 101 groups now though. The test registration is group 99, test2 was 100, but now test3 is 100, and test4 is now group 101.

I changed the default status to pending.

Thanks for letting us know. I’m finding that if I register in one browser, then in another browser it doesn’t overwrite the previous one. Which is consistent with what you’re reporting. So somewhere along the way the session isn’t clearing.

I’ve notified the dev team and one of the developers is looking into this.

I set the default status to pending and went through and changed all the incomplete registrations to pending and now new registrations are not overwriting existing ones.

Thanks for your help! I greatly appreciate it.

We haven’t been able to reproduce the disappearing registrations issue that you’ve reported without intentionally staying on the same session.

So with your site having the PayPal payment option, it’s important to note that if the customer goes from the payment page without paying at PayPal.com then tries to register again while on the same session (in the same browser window) it will overwrite their previous registration.

One thing that may help to ensure that sessions do not get overwritten that you can try is to make sure you have the Registration cancelled page set up with the [ESPRESSO_CANCELLED] shortcode on it. Then you can add a link in the sidebar to this cancelled page along with instructions to go to that page between adding registrations for those who are registering multiple groups without paying.
