we are seeing in the wp_esp_registration the ATT_ID is setting to a value of 0 so that the registration does not have any attendee data associated with it.
So users are making it all the way through the registration process and finalizing the registration only to then have the registration assigned with ATT_ID = 0?
Is there an event I can run a couple of test registrations on to view this?
If you register then just go to any of the events it will be fine.
as this does not happen to every single event, is there a way we could have a scheduled task run that looks for the ATTENDEE ID on the transaction and update the Registrations that are set to 0 as adding in my attendee id and updating the creation date I can get all the correct information to trigger as it was meant to.
It isn’t expected that a registration will have an ATT_ID of 0 after the user has passed the attendee information step (as EE doesn’t know which attendee it is until that point), so I’m not really sure what a scheduled task would do here?
What would it be looking for on the transaction itself?
A transaction doesn’t have an ATT_ID assigned to it, each registration is assigned an ATT_ID and a TXN_ID to relate the registration to an EE_Contact and an EE_Transaction. You can’t use the EE_Transaction to find the ATT_ID of the registrations assigned to it if those registrations have an ATT_ID of 0.
I’m more than happy to help here and can discuss further with our developers if needed but currently I need more info on what is happening.
Basically, a user registers for an event as normal (they must be logged in) they complete the registration as normal and randomly we get a 0 in the ATT_ID field.
Then we would notice this as we use the EE API to pull the latest data back into Our CRM in this case SUGAR CRM
There is nothing special that we do at the initial point of creating tickets apart from some security levels on the tickets themselves which allow the users to purchase the tickets if they have permission to.
The 0 on the ATT_ID in the registration table is not related to just a specific ticket type.
