I’ve installed event espresso recently on http://proficientaccountingsolutions.com. The installation went rather smoothly, but I realized that when I tested the registration page, clicking the “submit” button after filling out all my information did nothing. I looked at the firebug output and it seemed to try to make an ajax call to the wp-admin/admin-ajax.php file with a numeric parameter value and no name. (http://proficientaccountingsolutions.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_=1416360814495). This call shows a 200 response, so it looks successful, but the response text is “0”.
Thanks for the idea, I just gave this a try with no luck. I deactivated all the plugins, and then only had event espresso activated. That didn’t do it.
There are no obvious issues, but disabling JavaScript does allow the form to process further, so I’m 99% sure it’s a JavaScript conflict.
Updating WordPress *might* help but I ran a simulation using the same version as yours and did not run into any issues.
You could try testing a default theme to see if it is an issue with the theme (Theme TestDrive plugin is great for this as it allows you to see a different theme but not actually change it so your visitors see the normal theme).,
