For all events, after someone selects a ticket for an event, when they proceed to the Event Registration page, everything beginning with “Steps” through the “Proceed to Payment Options” button and “Step 2 – Payment Options” appears twice on that page. So it looks like two registration forms on the same page. This is confusing to those trying to register. Required fields must be filled out on both copies of the form or it returns the required fields error display. The [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] shortcode only appears once in the page text editor. If someone fills in both sets of questions, the registration will proceed to Step 2. However, this same behavior (duplicate form) is on the “Step 2 Page”. The form is duplicated. However, once you select a payment method, you cannot proceed, because you can only select the payment option once. Error returned in error box is: “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again. ( submit_reg_form_server_error )” or “An error has occurred: |
Hi Byron, Thanks for taking the time to leave this valuable feedback. The duplicating steps issue was fixed in 4.4.0.beta.011 and is now available as a 1-click update. |

Interestingly, mine is not showing that an update is available. I will download and install the newer version. |
Hi Byron, Sometimes it takes a re-save of the Event Espresso General Settings page to force an update check if you don’t see the plugin update notification right away. |

The update solved the double display issue, however, now when using MS Internet Explorer or FireFox, the following message is displayed when the “Proceed to Payment Options” button is clicked: “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again. ( submit_reg_form_server_error )”. I cleared browser cache and still have the same issue. Using Chrome or Safari, I see no problems and the registration seems to work fine. Any ideas? |

Josh, I had no problem with the form located on the link you sent. However, I changed my WordPress HTTPS plugin settings to “Force SSL Administration” and that appears to have fixed the issue on my site. Thanks for the quick replies. |
