Hi,

How are you?

I am developing website with EE4 and find out when I update an event, event start time and end time will automatically shift 2 hours.

eg:

I set:
start time 10:00am end time 11:00am

After update event start time will be 1:00pm end time 2:00pm

Can you please help me out?

Thanks.

Hi Josh,

What settings are you using in the WordPress time and date settings area? E.g. are you using UTC or a specified city?

Hi Dean,

Thanks for your reply.

Timezone for my wordpress is Sydney city of Australia now.

I tried to set timezone to UTC, it does same bug.

Then I switch back , still same bug.

Thanks for the clarification.

Is this occurring in the admin (event editor) or the front end or both?

Are you using the latest version of EE4 and all the addons?

Have you tried disabling all addons except the core EE plugin and seeing if that changes anything? We have had it in the past where a plugin using deprecated WP functions breaks the time system.

Hi Dean,

Thanks for your suggestion.
The issue occurring in both backend and frontend.

All EE4 plugin and adddons are lastest version.

I also tried disable all plugin and only leave EE4 core plugin active. the issue still there.

I am using a theme template with an event function already I think that may cause the issue.

Can you please advise any WP functions that may breaks the time system?

Thanks again for your help.

date_default_timezone_set() is a function common misused within WordPress that will break many plugins.

Can you check if you theme uses the above function please?
