Hello,
my event pages can’t be found any more. I tried with “old” events, as well as newly generated ones:
https://energetics.sysone.de/event-kalender/
If you click on the events, it shows a 404 – the link is the same which is shown in the event admin page.
Not sure when this happened… but must have been in the last 2-3 weeks.

Hi Boris,
It is an issue with ‘pretty’ permalinks on your site, if you go here:
https://energetics.sysone.de/?post_type=espresso_events
You’ll find your events listed there, and:
https://energetics.sysone.de/?espresso_events=test
Opens up your ‘test’ events.
So it’s when you are using the ‘pretty’ permalinks that it fails, eg /events/test
First, flush your permalinks. Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks.
Make no changes and just hit save.
Now try viewing your events again, do the pretty links work?

Hi Tony,
yes, now working again.
Why did this happen? It worked for more than an year before that, and I didn’t make any changes to permalinks…

You may not have made changes to permalinks, but a plugin you’ve installed or update may have made changes to them meaning they needed to be flushed (the above).

Hmm, ok all other plugins still work though.

Without knowing the full history of the site, all plugins installed, updated (and the dates of when they were updated and when this started happening) we can’t say for sure how it happened.
However, I can say that other plugins working doesn’t mean they didn’t cause a problem 🙂
