Hi

The link on my events page is not working. I believe it was working fine before the latest EE upgrade. Can you assist?

https://sassystirrers.com/holiday-workshops/

Thanks

Hi there,

Can you post the shortcode you are using on that page, please?

Your events are available on /events/ currently, is that not expect?

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=all-holiday-workshops]

I need the page https://sassystirrers.com/holiday-workshops/ to carry this category of events.

Also, can you advise how I can change the order of events in the EE events list, so that they appear in the correct order rather than the order they were published?

Have you flushed your permalinks since updating?

None of your event links are currently working with ‘pretty’ permalinks, which means your rewrite rules need flushing.

Also, can you advise how I can change the order of events in the EE events list, so that they appear in the correct order rather than the order they were published?

On the shortcode above?

What is ‘the correct order’ in this case? I’m guessing you want to order by start date?

They should start with the 3 month bronze course and work up to gold.

Ok, but how would EE know what order those events should be in?

WRT to your shortcode issue, do you have events set in that category that should be visible?

No events show on the event category for that url, here:

https://sassystirrers.com/event-category/all-holiday-workshops/

Which would normally mean there are no events expected to show on the shortcode either.

Hi Joe,

I checked using the REST API and there doesn’t appear to be any upcoming events for that category. The newest event assigned to that category was from October.

https://sassystirrers.com/wp-json/ee/v4.8.36/term_taxonomies/25/events/?order_by=EVT_ID&sort=DESC&include=Datetime.DTT_EVT_start,EVT_name&limit=10

If you assign at least one published event to the all-holiday-workshops category then it can list some events.

Apologies! My mistake, I should have checked.
