We have an event registration in process. We have listed maximum number of seats at 20. There are 9 registrations currently. However, I have been told that it is sold out by a potential registrant as well as it shows on the admin side that it is sold out and that 20 seats have been sold. At what point is a seat considered “sold” in the database? The only work-around that I have found is to increase the number of seats beyond what we can accommodate to ensure that people can still register. What is the problem here?
I have also noticed that for free events, the button still stays “proceed to payment.” We need this button to simply say “Proceed” or “Confirm Registration”. I am quite sure we have changed the text of this button before. However, this may be the point where we are losing registrants. Even though we indicate the event is free, when they have put in their registration information, suddenly it says “proceed to payment.”
Your event shows your ticket has expired, rather than being sold out.
If you edit the event and look at the ‘Sell Until’ date for your ticket, you’ll likely find it is set to a date that has passed, meaning ticket sales for that ticket have expired. If you alter this date (you’ll likely need it to match either the Event Start or Event End date for the DateTime) then update your event and the ticket selector should work correctly once again.
We have a guide which shows you how to customise the checkout buttons available here:
