You can see there are 3 approved registrations. The course was sold out but then I moved two people to another event. Now EE sees that there are 3 approved registrations but on the calendar its sold out so you can’t sign up. How do I fix this? I also purchased the attendee mover and i’m hoping this will make this issue easier to deal with as I have lots of students moving around between classes. |

Hope there is a simple answer for how to fix an issue I’m having with new students unable to register for a class where there are spots available but EE won’t allow more registrations. I have a class with 5 spots for students. At one point all 5 spots were taken, but since that time, 2 students have switched to a different class. I switched the students manually and cancelled their registrations for the original class they signed up for. Afterwards, the class shows as having available seats on the website and also in EE, but no students are able to register. The class is still marked as “sold out” in EE and will not allow more registration/s. Any advice on how to resolve this? I am waiting for the attendee mover add-on to be installed (just bought that yesterday) but that will not help with the situation I’m having currently. Hopefully that will correct any future issues but I will still need to resolve the current issue. |

Myself Ted Harty and my assistant both posted in this forum asking the same question. I tried to delete this post but i can’t figure out how. Sorry for the double post! |
Hi Ted, Are there any registrations for that event that were moved to the Trash? |
Josh, There are zero incomplete or zero in the trash. |
Can you try going into the sold out event, then click on Publish. |
I tried that its been about 5 minutes still the same. |
You mean just hit the publish button without changing anything? |
Correct. Along with that, can you check the Registration status of the original registrations that ended up getting moved to other events? What’s the Registration status for those? |
Their status is set to cancelled. |
OK if you can complete the secure form on this page, support staff can investigate further and remove those stuck ticket reservations from the event. |
Hi Ted, Here’s the simple answer: If you go in and change the price, the system will create a new ticket, and you’ll need to input a Quantity amount. If you leave the Quantity amount to 0 for the only available ticket option, the event will get switched to sold out. So for example on your event, the ticket editor has this: I went ahead and changed the QTY, and changed the registration limit for the date time back to 5 for that one. In the future, you can avoid the above by setting an early price where its ticket sale ends on a date, then a second ticket with higher ticket price option can be set to go on sale on that later date.

Update: Event Espresso 4.9.32.p, which was released today, adds a button to the Maintenance > Reset page: Reset Ticket and Datetime Reserved Counts. You can click that button and it will reset the ticket reservation counts if you’re still seeing events incorrectly marked as sold out. |
Josh, Is is just one button? reset page or are there multiple buttons reset page, reset ticket, & date time reserved counts? If the event is listed as sold out when it should not be listed as sold out will clicking this reset button do anything other than change the status from sold out to not sold out? |
It’s just one button that says: Reset Ticket and Datetime Reserved Counts
It will actually reset the ticket reserved counts to zero. So if you have 3 reserved tickets, that count will get reset to 0 when you click on the button. |
