Hi There, I have a new issue with my event page, once a week the event page is down and it is redirected to the events calendar page, leaving all the simple event pages inactive. To fix this issue manually I need to go Permalink Settings and change to Plain, save and then change it again to Post name. I’d like to know how to solve this issue definitely since I cannot be monitoring the website every day and every hour to see if the events page is working. Thanks in advance for your quick attention/comment in resolving this. My website is https://psg.ca |
Hi, That could be a new plugin on the site where the new plugin registers a custom post type **after** Event Espresso registers its custom post types, then even later, refreshes the site’s rewrite rules. Have any new plugins been added to the site recently? |

Hi Josh, No. However, I have almost 7 plugins plus WordPress that need updates and I don’t want to do it for the same reason, I don’t want that a new record to spoil the website. :'( |
Generally we recommend keeping plugins and WordPress core up to date. If you’re concerned with updating, then that’s something that could be done first on a staging site where things can be tested first. |

I know, but I made some changes in the code of some plugins in order to get some information that I need and if I update I will lose the code that I added … But what makes me noise is that it was working well without updates because now it is spoiled weekly. Do you have any idea? Thanks Josh… |
I’ve already mentioned the idea: A plugin registers a custom post type **after** Event Espresso registers its custom post types, then even later, refreshes the site’s rewrite rules. That’s what will lead to the issue you’re seeing. Since you probably cannot troubleshoot deactivating other plugins on a live site, what you could do is clone the site to staging, then activated Event Espresso only. Then, reload the event page after activating one plugin, then check the page. Then repeat until the event page goes down. At that point, you’ll find the plugin that’s resetting the permalinks later in the request, overriding the rewrite rules set in place for Event Espresso. |

OK!! I will do it… I’ll write to you when I finish doing the tests… Thanks… |
