As per the post you linked, this is due to old template files in the uploads/espresso directory. Both sites have this. I don’t know why only one is showing the error though, perhaps a slight difference in modifications.
If you rename the espresso directory (via FTP or the button in the Template Settings) it will revert to default templates and resolve the issue.
Hi Dean, I’m running some custom templates (movie template, etc.) Won’t that cause me problems if I rename the templates? I like the current display of courses and don’t want to change that.
Since you have templates like the movie template in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates, you can remove the registration page templates from that location on your server. This will allow the built-in templates from the current version to load for the registration page.
Sometimes when we udpate the plugin the templates are affected. That means if you have a modified template it can fail to function correctly and break the plugin.
We recommend renaming the directory in order to let the default templates run, that way you can see if the problems you are having are as a result of the template conflict.
If that is then the case, we recommend comparing the old default templates versus the new default templates to see what the differences are and apply those differences to your modified files to get them to work.
In future versions of Event Espresso we are hoping to have a more streamlined templating system to reduce/stop the need for this.
