There is no identification on the payment template as to the event the individual is paying for. I have tried to add a shortcode, but it doesn’t appear in the preview or when I test send the email. I need to be able to ID the event because we have multiple events occuring. |
May I ask which shortcode you tried to add, and to which section? The Event List section will accept any of the following shortcodes for the Event:

I used [event_name] and it doesn’t show up when I preview it or when I send a test |
Just to confirm, did you save before previewing? Which section are you adding that shortcode too? EVENT_LIST? Have you also included the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode within the main content? It is not used by default. For example – http://take.ms/Qhp2E |

Also, my screenshot from above is for the ‘Event Admin’ context. I’m assuming you are referring to the message sent to the event admin with the above? |

I have saved it, then previewed it, then test emailed it. I have tried different shortcodes in different sections (using the ones available) and nothing shows up on anything below the registrant details. Anything I try to add to the main content gives me an error. I really just want to add the date of the event. That will be the best way for the event coordinators to identify which event it is. |
So you want this to go to the event admin? Have you activated the payment received messages for the Event Admin context? Are you editing the Event Admin context or the Primary Registrant? When editing the message are you clicking link 1 or 2 here – http://take.ms/4VsvV It shows your current context at the top of the message editor – http://take.ms/w56P0 The event admin context is not activated by default (the To field is empty) To add the Event related details within the Event Admin message you’ll need to first activate the Event Admin context by adding a shortcode to the To field. Depending on where you want this to go you my use [EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL] or [CO_EMAIL] – http://take.ms/AaIKu Then within the Main content add [EVENT_LIST] to where you want the details to display. In my example I’ll display it at the bottom of the message – http://take.ms/agu4R Then within the EVENT_LIST sections we can add some Event based shortcode such as [EVENT_ID], [EVENT_NAME] – http://take.ms/YIoTJ If you want the event date its another section within EVENT_LIST (because a single event can have multiple datetimes), so you need to use [DATETIME_LIST] (wrapped in UL’s) then in DATETIME_LIST use:
On my Preview it looks like this – http://take.ms/eVayZ |
