We have noticed that users are able to register for events which is sending them a user/password and creating a registration ID prior to completing the payment portion of the event registration.
Is this the default workflow of how Event Expresso works? It is skewing our registrant data as only users who successfully pay (we’re integrated with Paypal Express), should then be registered for the open event.
Event Espresso does capture registration information before payment, then after they submit the registration form they’re given the opportunity to pay. If they do not take that opportunity it does not negate the fact that they just filled out a registration form (this does allow for paying later if the event does not sell out).
You might check the number of Approved registrations, that count should reflect the number of registrations that have paid. Then the other count (Pending Payment registrations) shows the registrations that have not paid yet.
