Recently moved from Paypal to Square for payments. Seeing transaction going through on the square admin side, but sometimes still showing “Pending Payment” within Event Espresso with some regularity.
The processing of payments is done by the payment method itself, Event Espresso core builds out some details and passes the request over to the payment method for it to do whatever it needs to do with the payment object.
In short, that means that if there is an issue with payments not updating within Event Espresso it almost always needs to be addressed by the payment method itself, in this case, the WP Gateways Square payment method.
As we did not write the payment method we do not provide support for it so you will need to contact WP Gateways to investigate this further.
