Event Espresso & WordPress Admin Role Conflict

Hello,

We use WordPress for our company website and have minimal “admins”. With the new addition of Event Espresso, we want to assign the “Events Admin” role to users who can create events in EE, but not have an admin role in WP. It works with the exception of “Promotions” as that is a plug in. Can you help, please?

Hi,

That’s actually by design because some event organizers may want to restrict that capability, so it’s disabled by default. You can use a plugin like User Role editor to manage the capabilities of the Events Admin role. What you’ll do is add any capabilities related to the promotions add-on e.g.
ee_edit_promotions and so on. You’ll find more information here:
