Hi,
Can this plugin be incorperated with a custom payment gateway. We are based in South Africa and would like to use the event sales with a local payment gateway being payfast or paygate which link to Woo commerce payment gateways.

Hi Byron,
PayFast has a payment gateway for Event Espresso 4 here:
https://www.payfast.co.za/shopping-carts/event-espresso/
However, it was written to be added to the plugin folder directly.
This will cause issues during updates as the Event Espresso plugin folder is removed and replaced during a software update. We’ve asked members that are using PayFast to reach out to PayFast support about switching this integration to be a WordPress plugin.
PayGate (http://paygate.co.za/) and PaymentExpress (http://www.paymentexpress.com/) are supported through Mijireh which works as a payment gateway connector for Event Espresso 4.
