Over the weekend I updated my Event Espresso version and am currently using the USAePay from WPGateways and it is returning the following error: Transaction type not allowed (error type: 80).
I need this fixed quickly as we have active events we are selling seats for.
As this isn’t a payment method we created/support you’ll need to contact WPGateways to investigate this further.
The way payment methods work within Event Espresso is the user walks through the steps of the registration on the Single Page CheckOut process (SPCO for short) which builds out the Registration/Transaction/Line Items in the background.
When the users select a payment method, that payment method takes over and uses the EE_Registration, EE_Transaction and EE_Line_Item objects to build out the request the payment merchant expects. This means that EE itself doesn’t have much to do with the communication between the payment method and the merchant, it’s mostly down to the payment method add-on.
As we didn’t produce the USAePAY we don’t have an experience with it but I did do a quick google search on the error you reported and found this:
The requested command (sale, authonly, etc) was blocked by the
merchant’s source key. The command must be checked on source
key settings screen to be accepted by the gateway.
Looks like the requests are not allowed on your account within USAePAY so thats where I would start looking.
