We’re experiencing very slow load times on https://afta.org when Event Espresso is enabled. We’re running a caching plugin but have disabled the pages that your forums said to disable. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,

Usually this is something your host can help you with. Event Espresso support doesn’t have control over your web host’s server. The hosting company’s support tech may be able to give you some better hosting options.

Along with that, here’s some general information that outlines how to make a WordPress powered site faster:

Sorry, but I don’t know if you’ve seen the relevant information from the support ticket I requested. When activated, Event Espresso is now requesting so much memory that my site goes blank. Without it, my site is using about 1/3 of its allocated resources, as my plugin readout below indicates:
Memory: 86.56 of 256 MB (34%) | WP LIMIT: 99 MB | IP 216.70.123.138 (n12) | PHP 5.6.21 @64BitOS Version 4.5.1

I’ve already set my wpconfig file and my PHP.ini file to 100MB of memory, so apparently Event Espresso is requesting more than twice as much memory as everything else on my site combined, so much so that it runs over the 100MB limit.

That seems like a pretty low limit. Why set the limit to 100MB when you have 256MB available? In either case, Event Espresso does use a significant amount of compared to other WordPress plugins.

If you set the WP limit and the PHP.ini limit to use the 256MB, does it run over the limit?
