Event Espresso not showing paid

Hello-
I have a client who purchased ticket to an event.

Here is the event:

She remains in our system as pending payment

But payment has gone through in Paypal

Why did this payment not register on EE?
We want to be sure this is not a systemic issue of any kind because we also feel there is a large amount of abandoned carts for this event:

Would love to provide login info for this so you can take a look.

Hi Kim,

You can log into your PayPal account and check whether the IPN (or instant payment notification) was sent to your website, and even re-send the IPN from there.

How would I do that? And also- why then would it have worked for 8 other registrations and not this one? Are you suggesting these are PayPal issues?

After you log into your PayPal account, PayPal has some documentation on how to view the Instant Payment Notifications from your IPN history.

Not necessarily, there may have been an issue related to network traffic with your host’s ISP where the Instant Payment Notification did not reach your website at that time. This would explain why it worked for the other 8 registrations, but not the other one.
