Hi,

We have changed the look and feel of our website completely including pages, posts and theme etc.
We installed new wordpress and created all pages from scratch using Beaver Builder. We also installed Event Espresso on the site. The site is all live now but we just checked that the old site has all details about events and attendee registration of the past events but the new site has only one event created.
Now i need to export all the events along with their attendee details from old website and import in the new website, but i am not able to find any settings for the same.
Also we need to import all Promotion and Discount coupons also in the site.
Can you please help us with this as the event promotion has to escalate ?

Hi,

There actually are no settings for this because this isn’t a simple import/export.

Here’s an outline of the steps to take when you have:
– An original site with Event Espresso data, and the new site doesn’t have Event Espresso data
– You want to preserve the new site’s posts & pages, because they’re different than the original site’s posts & pages

You could:
1. Run the WordPress export tool on the new site, then set that backup aside for now
2. Migrate the original site’s database to the new site (minimum of wp_posts table & all wp_esp_* tables); You’ll likely omit the original site’s wp_options table
3. Then delete all standard WP posts/pages from the new site
4. Then run the WordPress import tool to import the WP posts/pages (restoring the new site’s posts & pages)
5. If there are other custom things like menu settings those would need to be re-imported too

This is best done on a staging server before moving the data to a live server.

Ok but we are using Financity theme in which pages are created through Beaver Builder. Do you think exporting and importing pages would preserve the layouts created using the page builder ?
Or we will again have to create them all together from scratch ?

You could check with Beaver Builder support staff, and they may even have an importer/exporter for this type of scenario.
