So I have been a part of an organization for the last few months that has implemented Event Espresso into their volunteering process. At first I thought that Event Espresso ordered the events by date, but realize now that it is ordered by the reference number associated with the event. Right now, none of the events after April 20, are showing up in the event overview. It’s not a problem of the reference numbers not showing up after a certain number (217 is showing up, but not 201), it seems to have something to do with the date itself. My other thought is that some of the reference numbers may be conflicting with years prior, but I can still follow the url link to the registration page, I simply cannot view anything from an admin perspective. Website: BAPwichita.org This is a very detrimental problem and we will be looking for alternatives during our planning stage these next few months. Hoping there is a viable solution. On a side note, $70 just to speak to customer service is the worst customer service model I’ve ever seen…might want to consider revising that. Thanks for your time and to those who helped solve this issue. |
Hi there, It looks like you do not currently have a support license and are using Event Espresso 3 Lite which is free version of EE. It does not have the same filtering capabilities as the full version of the plugin so we’ll need some further information to narrow down the problem. How many events do you currently have within the event overview? Are all of the events that you currently see expired? If you add an additional event to EE does that display as expected on the front end of the site? You mention you can follow the registration link on the front end but is that for current events or does that also include new events?
Are you referring to support tokens? For the majority of users that have a support license there is no need to purchase additional support tokens for support. The support forums can be used as a communication tool and we will help as best we can there. However sometimes users request help for issues that would be outside the scope of supporting Event Espresso, for example they have altered the code on their plugin/theme and caused problems with Event Espresso which they want fixing ASAP (as in a very specific issue from something they have done themselves), for that there are support tokens. |

Tony, Sorry for being cross about the support tokens, still not sure if we qualify under the support license (Event Espresso was implemented before I took this position). I just feel like having more immediate contact with someone (phone call) would make the troubleshooting process easier. As far as I can tell from what is shown in the Event Overview, everything from last year has been deleted. There are currently 50 events that are closed from February to April 20. There are about 5-6 events after April 20 not showing up, including one I made on April 30 for May 6. As mentioned, it is still possible to sign-up for these events, I just cannot view them in the Event Overview, which is a real problem for planning purposes. I know that the one made on April 30 did show up in the Event Overview on that date, but I haven’t seen it since. That’s about as much detail as I know, let me know of any possible solutions, and if there is anyway to temporarily supersede Event Overview and view the names of people registered for the event. Thanks for the help, |

I actually found what the problem is. I realized that 50 was too round of a number for how many events we’ve had this year, so I deleted some of the closed events that we did not need to keep for record keeping and the missing events began showing up. Still interested in knowing how to increase the maximum capacity above 50 events. Thanks again for your time, |
Hi Brandon, It turns out that the events are not deleted, they just can’t be accessed with EE3 lite’s limited User Interface. One option you have is you can download the current version of Event Espresso 3 premium for free from the github repository, then you remove the decaf version, then you install EE3 premium. |

I’m not really in the position, as far as time is concerned, to try and figure out how to remove and install a new version of a program onto a system of which I have had no background knowledge of. Thanks for the advice, however, Josh. My question still remains, is there a way to increase the maximum amount of view-able events (without updating the software)? Everything else works perfect for our needs. |
The simple quickest way to fix this is use the Premium version. The more difficult and time consuming way is go into the lite version code and make edits and patch it to change the amount of viewable events. |
