I recently purchased the Event Espresso everything license. After activating it, my beaver builder pages no longer let me edit the content. I am using BB 2.3.1.1 and EE 4.10.3.

Hi,

May I ask what happens when you try to edit pages with Beaver Builder? Is there an error message or an error in the browser’s console?

There are no errors present. Basically the editing functions are frozen. Nothing happens when you have EE active. As soon as EE is disabled editing reruns.

Did you check the browser’s console for any JavaScript errors, or even the PHP error log?

The reason I ask is because I have Beaver Builder loaded up on a site that also has Event Espresso and I’m not having any trouble with adding/editing pages using Building Builder.

I found out what was causing my problem. I had the EE in maintenance mode. As soon as I took it out everything worked again. Thanks for your time.

Ah, that makes sense.

You can actually avoid the breakage while using Maintenance mode by adding this code snippet to your site:

https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/fe7a6eaac737d990eea59fc11faa8335

You can add the above to a functions plugin or, if available, into your WordPress child theme’s functions.php file.

What that will do is tell EE to not inject the “Maintenance Mode” notification if the Beaver Builder editor is active.
