I know this topic has been posted several times, and I’ve searched and attempted many of the proposed solutions such as removing any custom templates, running the attendee update script, updating WP, updating the EE plugin and I still see this message whenever a new person registers for an event. |
Hi there, Are any of the installed Event Espresso add-ons up to date? Were there any custom templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates when this started happening? Can you post a link to the registration page for the site where this is happening? |

I have the EE Calendar plugin installed (version 2.0.B.1) I don’t “use” this plugin but it is activated. The is the only addon plugin we use. I already tried removing any custom templates, however I wasn’t using extensively modified templates to begin with. Here’s the reg link: https://www.cchraonline.com/program-schedule/?ee=33 |
Hi there, Something doesn’t look right here. The Price dropdown has one price selection, when there is one price option, there shouldn’t be a dropdown. I’d recommend updating to version .30.1 and try clearing out all templates from /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. Even if you hadn’t made any modification to the templates, if the templates that were copied over were from an older version of Event Espresso, these can cause problems because they aren’t compatible with the newer versions of Event Espresso. |

We have some custom code, to detect what member level the user is (we’re using s2member) and show only the appropriate price level. The custom code however is not in the templates but rather here: |

to be safe, I again renamed the /uploads/espresso/templates directory to /templatesOLD2/ Do I need to run the attendee-data script again or register a new user to clear the message in the admin? |

Also, I am seeing the following message: There is an automatic update for Event Espresso available but your Site License Key has not been set. Please go to the Event Espresso General Settings page to set your Site License Key for this addon. I have entered and saved my key several times now and it does not seem to be working. My key: [removed for security] |
I suspect the issue has to do with the modifications you have made to the plugin and the version you are using. There were some issues with the update notifications/automatic updates prior to 3.1.28, so if you’re using an older version you may need to update manually via ftp. It doesn’t look like your domain is being saved to your profile when you update your settings so this may be why. |
