However as this is our first attempt, it appears that something is missing. Am I the only one who can’t accept payments this way? This is somewhat urgent for us as we cannot accept payments and have lost some customers already. Any help would be appreciated. I have some screenshots saved that I can share as well.
We set the SiteGround caching settings to not cache the Event Espresso checkout pages, then patched a file in Event Espresso to clear the error we saw while testing. Now the original error is gone, and this is a new error that’s logged:
The merchant account could not be validated.
Can you contact Quickbooks payments support to see if they can find out if why the merchant account cannot be validated?
Did they have any information about why the merchant account cannot be validated?
