Hi All
am running EE for on line events on my web site running wordpress.
people that register for these events currently do yearly membership renewals and new renewals manually — so I want to add an on line registration system where people can join up with their dogs and get their memberships renewed each year. I am wondering if there is anything i can use for this membership which will integrate with EE – for example i would like a user to be able to login to the web site and be able to register for an EE on line event but if their membership or dog membership is not current and paid up then they cant register…..

Hi Sue,
You could use the WP User Integration add-on for Event Espresso along with a plugin like s2 member to restrict event registration so only current members can register. You’ll find more information about WP User Integration here:

thanks Josh….so am wondering how I can test out WP user integration and S2 member on a test site to see how they work with EE? Probably not good for me to test these on a live site….

You could set up a staging site if you do not already have one. Here’s a guide that outlines some staging site options:

Once you have a staging site ready, you can download the WP User add-on for testing here
and the free version of S2member is available to download here.

You can download a copy of Event Espresso from you account page. It will function exactly the same as it does on your other site. The one difference is you’ll not input the support license key on the testing site, so that testing site will not be able to do 1-click software updates.
