When you active EE4 on the site it will ask if you want to migrate your data over, if you choose to migrate you can work through the steps shown on the page to migrate over (there are multiple migrations to run so make sure you run through them all).
So the steps would be:
1. Backup your database (important).
2. De-activate EE3 and all of the EE3 add-ons you have activated. (you can remove them if you want but personally I wait until the end)
3. Activate EE4 on the site and follow the migration steps.
You’ll then have EE4 active on the site with the Events and Attendees from EE3.
Note that some EE3 data isn’t compatible with EE4, for example, the confirmation email content is completely different in EE4 so that can’t be pulled in from EE3. We recommend running the migration on a development copy (a clone of the ‘live’ site) first to check everything works as expected, then repeat on the live site once you know it works.
