In a closed topic on the “No No direct script access allowed” error for registration/payment confirmation, there a posting that “The fix is up. It’s in Event Espresso 3.1.33.P2.” Where is the P2 release available?

I’m currently on 3.1.33.3.P, new installation, registration is not live yet.

Hi George,

Event Espresso 3.1.33.3.P was released after P2 and includes the same fix. Are you seeing the same error? If so, can you post the steps that we would need to take to see the “no direct script access” error?

Josh,
In the standard automated confirmation email, there a “Click here to View Your Payment Details” link to:
http://www.tza.com/?page_id=6413&r_id=2-51e6bc5b228e5Details.

That link goes to a page with a “No direct script access allowed” page.

Also, when you use the pay by check option, when you click on the “click here to finalize registration” in the Attention! box, it leads to the same page.

Hi George,

I checked on this and am not getting these errors with version 3.1.33.3.P. This may be happening because the site is not live. If I click on the link you’ve posted I get redirected to my openDNS screen that says your site is not loading right now.

What do you mean by “live”? I made the registration page “public” and went through the reg process and when I click on the “finalize registration” link in PayPal, I still go to the “script access” page. What is suppose to happen when I click that link?

What I mean is by live is on the internet, when I went to your site earlier it appeared to be down. It’s up now, and now that I can get to your site, I can see that you are actually running Event Espresso 3.1.33.1.

If you update to the latest version of Event Espresso it will resolve the issues you are seeing.

Oh, sorry for the confusion over the release. I looked at the instructions for upgrading to the P2 release. I don’t have the automatic update option, so I need to deactivate and delete my current EE plugin, correct. Will I lose all my information and configuration?

All the information is stored in the database, not the plugin’s files. We still recommend backing up the database before updating as a precaution though:

That worked. Thanks
