Our client has a major Event taking place tomorrow 4/7/2018 and this event had been created since 3/21/2018 and everything looked perfect. They called me today stating that the website ticket selector box shows that the Event ticket sales ended earlier than it was supposed to. I logged into the backend of the site, updated the ticket sales end time to 5PM, clicked Done, and Update. When I refreshed the page, the end time AGAIN changed to a random time. It kept reverting back to 1PM no matter how many times I tried to update it to 5PM. I am now noticing that the Event date/time AND Ticket Sales date/time are now randomly changing. I am the only one that has access to the backend, so I don’t know why this is happening. It is as if someone is going in behind me and changing the details.
This is actually a caused bug in some not-so-recent versions of PHP that has been fixed in the later versions of PHP.
The lasting fix will involve contacting your host and ask them to upgrade the web server to use a newer version of PHP.
In the meantime, you can work around the issue by going to your WordPress Dashboard, then go to WP > Settings > General and set the Timezone setting to match a city in your timezone.
